Shailesh Jejurikar appointed chairman of Procter & Gamble

Procter & Gamble has appointed India-born executive Shailesh Jejurikar chairman of its board of directors, effective Aug. 1. He will hold the position in addition to his existing responsibilities as the company’s president and chief executive officer.

Jejurikar became P&G’s president and CEO on Jan. 1, following a leadership transition announced in 2025. His elevation to chairman places him at the head of both the company’s executive leadership and board as P&G enters its next phase of growth.

He succeeds Jon Moeller, who will retire from the board on July 31 and from P&G on Aug. 14. Moeller previously served the company as executive chairman, CEO, chief operating officer and chief financial officer during a 38-year career.

Jejurikar joined P&G in 1989 and has been a member of its global leadership team since 2014. His career has included senior responsibilities across North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, giving him experience in both developed and emerging consumer markets.
