Indian-origin financial technology executive Nandha Srinivasan has joined Simplicity Group as a partner and executive vice president of securities technology. The Summit, New Jersey-based financial planning company announced the appointment Nov. 2.
Srinivasan will help lead technology development for Simplicity Securities alongside Albert Cohen, who received the same partner and executive vice president title. Their work will focus on scaling the company’s technology platform and improving digital tools used by financial advisers and their clients.
Srinivasan brings more than 25 years of engineering experience across registered investment advisers, turnkey asset management platforms, broker-dealers and institutional and retail financial services. His previous leadership positions include roles at AssetMark, Cetera Financial Group, BNY Mellon and E*TRADE Financial.
Across those organizations, he worked on platform modernization, integrated adviser and client portals and business-process automation. His background also includes setting strategy for global engineering organizations and developing data and integration systems connecting custodians, clearing firms and other parts of the wealth-management ecosystem.

At Simplicity, Srinivasan will concentrate on creating a resilient enterprise platform that brings insurance, brokerage and advisory services together. The company said the technology leadership structure divides responsibility between platform architecture and adviser experience while keeping the two areas aligned under a common strategy.
Srinivasan also plans to use artificial intelligence to accelerate product delivery and improve operational efficiency. The goal is to give advisers modern tools that can support client onboarding, business development, portfolio services and back-office operations as their practices grow.
He earned a Master of Computer Applications from the University of Madras and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. His professional career began in India before expanding into senior technology positions at major American financial institutions. He is based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
The appointment gives an Indian-origin executive a senior ownership and technology role at a growing U.S. financial-services company. Srinivasan will help determine how Simplicity builds the infrastructure behind its securities business as financial advisers increasingly rely on integrated data, automation and AI-powered services.
