Ishpreet Singh Appointed as CIO of Black Duck Software

Black Duck Software, a Massachusetts-based leader in application security, has announced the appointment of Ishpreet Singh as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO).

With over 20 years of experience in technology leadership, Singh is set to drive the company’s technology strategy, aligning it with business objectives, and spearheading a comprehensive digital transformation.

Singh expressed his enthusiasm for joining Black Duck, highlighting the company’s unique position as a newly independent organization with a solid track record, an extensive portfolio, and significant growth potential.

Leadership and Expertise

Before joining Black Duck, Singh served as the Global CIO at Qualys, bringing a wealth of experience from his leadership roles at prominent technology firms. His past roles include:

  • Global Head of IT at Imperva
  • SVP of Business Operations and IT at Pluralsight
  • CIO at data.ai
  • Enterprise Applications and IT Services Leader at Splunk

Singh also served as a Business Consulting Manager at Deloitte and BCG, honing his skills in IT strategy and enterprise technology solutions.

 

Strategic Initiatives

In his role as CIO, Singh is responsible for several key initiatives:

Digital Transformation: Driving innovation through cutting-edge technologies, including a robust AI strategy, to foster growth and scalability.

Enterprise Security: Overseeing the development of a comprehensive cybersecurity framework to protect company assets and data, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Operational Efficiency: Optimizing business processes to improve efficiency and build a secure, future-ready infrastructure that supports long-term profitability and innovation.

 

Executive Expansion

Singh’s appointment is part of Black Duck’s broader strategy to bolster its executive team. The company also announced Bruce Jenkins as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Jenkins, with nearly 25 years of security expertise, will lead Black Duck’s cybersecurity strategy, focusing on secure-by-design solutions.
