Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) has added Dr. Nikhita Kathuria-Prakash to its Lake City clinic, strengthening oncology and hematology services across Columbia County. UCLA-trained and research-seasoned, Kathuria-Prakash will deliver personalized treatment plans while expanding FCS’s clinical-trial footprint in rural North Florida.
A Research-Forward Clinician
Her fellowship at UCLA’s Genitourinary Oncology & Immunotoxicity Research Group yielded grant-funded studies on immune-related adverse events—expertise increasingly vital as immunotherapies move into community settings. She has authored multiple papers on COVID-19 outcomes in cancer patients and cardio-oncology in underserved women.
Community and Culture
Beyond the lab, the Bhakti-yoga practitioner serves as medical officer for India’s Sadhu Seva Foundation, underscoring a commitment to equitable care. At FCS she will mentor nurses and drive patient-education programs aimed at early detection in low-resource populations.
